Why make US infantry even more powerful?

Postby fs_p0s8095tg » 06 Feb 2019, 15:28

As the title suggests. Why did frozen shard make us infantry even more powerful? Already it has more free next units, free promotes and free flag waving than any other deck and frozen shard added yet another free promote! In comparison German infantry only has 1 free next card and one free promote. Add plastic to this mix and all other decks can forget any chance of a win. Frozen shard have to up other decks or downgrade this one or we will all have to play it to stand any chance. It’s a shame as there could be loads of other fun decks to play but they are just nit worth the cost an effort to then have a losing deck. Would love to see people playing rusty tanks etc but not worth it for them.

Hello,

If you're talking about the "battle pass cards", we're adding one of each (infantry, tanks, airship,...) for all factions, but not at the same time. We're spending some time right now looking at the current state of the game (what decks are the most played, what investment is needed,...) so we can "boost" the most unused/weak decks with future content.

Couple comments...

There are TWO DIFFERENT effects that make a deck be use or not...

STRENGTH and COST...

Some decks are already very strong with cheap to make units...examples would be US Infantry or German Aircraft...you don't need any very rare unit to make a very strong deck...
Other decks are also very strong, although require very expensive units...examples would be Japanese Ships, Russian Ships, Brit Ships or Brit Infantry...
The Brit ships deck was VERY STRONG from long ago...but only started appearing after a few players got the really strong cards...

Presently there are several strong decks...US Infantry is not the most used by top players...but i am guessing it can be dominant a bit lower in the "food chain"...as it is very easy to make...
It is possible some decks are also very strong...but players don't know it, because nobody made them...for instance...ONE PLAYER is using US Tanks with great effect...simply because he invest in the Diamond versions that nobody else has...to most player US tanks look harmless...until you face him ;)

Conversely...US ships was made into full diamond by JW...and was never a Menace...strong but beatable...

Not sure on what BALANCE should be...just a few comments for you to consider...
Right now, decks that look "weaker" would be Russian Infantry, Japanese Infantry, Brit Tanks, Russian Tanks...perhaps also American Planes and German Ships...unless some key card is hiding in their midst ;)
