German StuG III G really earned the right to have place in all kind of WWII game.

The Sturmgeschütz III (StuG III) assault gun was Germany's most-produced armoured fighting vehicle during World War II. (wiki)

Old topic...but a refresh for next update...or the one after...many were mentioned above in the topic
Bear in mind...just suggestions...and not OBSCURE things...all of the suggestions are very famous and present on many games, documentaries and books...and should be know by most ww2 enthusiasts...
Some i choose because they are "different" to allow some extra ability....

Units that were used in large numbers and are not in game:
Panzer III
Panzer IV
P47 Thunderbolt
Hawker Typhoon
Hawker Hurricane
Russian self-propelled guns...IS152 should be a interesting unit

Very Famous Heroes (top of their class in most cases)
Hans Rudel
Erich Hartmann
Michael Wittmann
Gunther Prien
(All german as they are more famous, sorry)

Naval Things
Long Lance Torpedo
Ark Royal
Graf Spee
Armed Merchant Raiders
PT Boats and/or E Boats
Any Escort ship (perhaps after submarines, as a sub killer)

Naval Planes
Avenger
Swordfish
Helldiver
Kate
Val
Catalina

Audie Murphy
Richard Bong (top scoring American ace)
John Basilone
Richard Winters
Chester Puller

Surely these men are as famous as the ones you mentioned

I think they should add a new faction. Possibly Italy or France. No other country served heavily.

For famous units I would suggest the Brazilian Expeditionary Force for America. Or maybe bob semple tanks for Britain. The latter as a Legendary OP card just for the irony.

HMS Venturer - Royal Navy Submarine which managed to sunk Uboat in the underwater duel - first and only time in the history of naval warfare that one submarine intentionally sank another while both were submerged.

More to read here

What a great theme for a historic unit with an exclusive ability "When this ship is played, it destroys rank 1/2/3 Submarine card" !

So if you look for another British submarine (*) - you have it ready and waiting.

(*) it seems that British faction has only 2 subs - HMS Craft and HMS Upholder. Even Soviet faction has more sub types - Schchuka, K-3, K-2 - which makes little sense from historic point of view

Interesting Story...i knew several submarines had been sunk by submarines...but never realized that they were ALL (almost) surfaced...

Some cold war rumors (and not a few movies) claim this happened again...but rumors is not history ;)

Hi,

Trying to help, I have compiled a list of British units that do not appear in the game yet. I'll try to do it with the rest of the factions (I know it's practically impossible to put all of them, I'm just looking to help possible future creations).

- Royal engineers (Sappers)
- Royal Scots
- Royal Marines
- Irish Guards
- The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment)
- Sikh Light Infantry
- Gurkhas
- Chindits (Long Range Penetration Groups)
- SAS Brigade
- Long Range Desert Group

Tanks
- Daimler armoured car
- Humber armoured car
- Vickers Light Tanks MkI to MkV (lower tank in rank)
- 17 PDR SP Achilles (american M10 Wolverine variant)
- 25 PDR SP Sexton (mix between american Priest and M3 Lee)
- Bishop (based on Valentine)
- A15 Crusader
- Centaur (was Cromwell II)
- A34 Comet (improved version of Cromwell)
- 1st King's Dragoon Guards

Planes
- Hawker Hurricane
- Hawker Typhoon
- Hawker Tempest
- Bristol Beaufighter
- Fairey Swordfish
- Handley Page Halifax
- Short Stirling
- Vickers Wellington

Ships
- HMS Ark Royal
- HMS Repulse
