The Future of Pvp

Hi Fs Team.

Pvp becomes more and more boring and unfair.
Why ? 90 % of all Games The Starter has an very Big advantage.
Often there are Matches where Players up to 6 times start against the
Same Opponent what absolutly results into Frustation.
You really have to think about some ideas how to change this.

As i said in an old Post from me. What about a Best of 3 System ?
Or an Option for all the fair Players out there to switch the Start ?
What about the idea from Alduin That the starter has only 2 Mana ?
The idea from the Battle Pass is a good start with Pvp Matches only with
One Faction but needs to improve.

And please really think about this what i write.

Agreed starting is such an advantage now, not sure how it can be done that alternate starts when you play people.
As jagor has mentioned 2 mana start could also be a good idea.

Hi FS, hi guys and thank you Jagor for trying to get that game better and more fair.

Definitely something need to be done to improve PvP experience. I will tell my thinking about points you brought up and put down some others on the way.

- about same player starting multiple games in a row.: Knowing our starting rate is a must, playing 2nd 3-4-5 time in a row is a pain, but if my starting rate is at 60/100 and my opponent is at 40/100, shut up and play would be the thing to do. :-). But I know it doesn’t work that way. My point is that may be starting rate should decide who star. Will it be enough to get everyone starting rate around 50/100, don’t know, need to be tested! (Bots shouldn’t be count in starting rate)

- switching willingly could be done without any changes, player only need to it, some already do, giving the option to do it will probably bring more aggressivity on global since not everyone will use this option, many will still take advantage of starting first.

- Palying 2mana at first turn is a very interesting solution, even if coming from Alduin (hahaha, kidding you Ald.) that definitely need to be test. I would also like to test if playing only one card at 1st turn could change something, it would probably change the way players will have to build their decks by putting some more 3-4 mana cards but in the meantime I wonder if starter 2nd turn will bring the same problem. Might be good to test also!

- About a best out of 3 games, tournament rooms should be created for that, like poker room, once fill tournament start. Something like 4 player tournament best of 3, you lose your out, different rewards according to positions, guild pts, gold etc... maybe even an entry fee?!? (3-4th positions determined by against who lost against 1st pos, no point in playing a best of 3 for lower rewards, my opinion)

Thanks Again Jagor for what you do and In my belief, the number of reply and suggestions will tell about how long this game is going to survive!

Hopefully it will.

Have fun everyone
dr_noguss. ;)

Hello everyone!!! All the new ideas that I see I like, even yours Doc Hahahahaha;), the best would be that the players themselves could test them in some way, to be able to compare them and in passing change our game routine a bit.
Could you prove it in friendly games?
I also think it would be interesting to try with decks of 30 cards, more possibilities combos etc, more fun :)
Greetings to all, I'm glad to see people trying to make the game better, Thanks!

First of all, thanks for giving your feedback about PvP (specially about the starting benefits). We'll take it into consideration for our next balance update.

We're testing with the option that the first player has only 2 mana potions instead of 3. This will be a huge change and we'll only apply it if we think that is fair for both players. (In our opinion right now, only decks with low-cost decks are not heavily affected by this change and we need to be cautious before go further)

Hello guys,

I have the solution to solve the disadvantage of going second in pvp. It's simple as it is. The starter should have 3 Manas. Not just on first turn! Simply starting with 3 Manas while second player starts with 4 manas. Try it and thank me later (maybe with a Diamond Chest).

Sincerly Yours,

Hi Frozen

The way I read this mean that strong players won’t be much affected by this (low mana deck is what we all use) but new players will have harder time winning when starting. (We never hear noob complaining about that) Getting beat, slain, crushed, tortured and pulverized are noob issues, if that is what I read, please don’t go that way, make a 180 deg turn, it’s the exact opposite way we need to go.

Sad, cuz it really seemed to be a good idea at first.

Hello guys.

I have also an idea for more balance in PvPs.
I would try what happens if the player who goes first starts with 3 Manas. Not 3/4 as it is right now. Real 3 Manas only. To clearify it let's say the First Player plays two minions. So he would start his next turn with 5 Manas instead of 6. What you think?

Kind regards,
